PostSnap

Beautiful screenshots, one click.

The problem

A raw screenshot looks unfinished when it goes into a blog post, a changelog or a social card. Making one presentable normally means a separate design tool, or a web service that wants an account and a copy of the image.

The approach

PostSnap does capture and beautification in a single step, entirely in the browser. The editor opens automatically with the screenshot already loaded, and every adjustment — background, frame, shadow, aspect ratio, overlay text — is applied client-side. No image ever leaves the machine.

What it does

Four capture modes
Viewport, element picker with scroll-wheel selection widening, drag-to-select region with live dimensions, and full-page scroll capture with automatic stitching.
Background and framing
Sixteen gradient presets plus custom two-colour gradients with direction control, solid and transparent options, adjustable padding to 200px, and border radius to 40px.
Window frames and shadows
Six frames covering macOS dark and light, browser dark and light, and a phone mockup. Six shadow presets plus full manual control over blur, spread, opacity and colour.
Aspect ratios that do not distort
Five presets — free, 1:1, 16:9, 4:3 and 9:16 — applied by letterboxing rather than stretching the capture.
Retina-ready export
PNG, JPEG and WebP output with a quality slider for lossy formats, and 1x, 2x or 3x resolution scaling. One-click copy to clipboard or download.
